![]() ![]() It tells me that the folder already contains whatever it is that I try to copy (e.g. I can find the iTunes stuff on that disk, but the system will not allow me to copy anything from there into the Music folder on my regular hard disk. Im unsure if it is the HDD or Time Machine causing this unusual (it seems to me) long back up time (several hours vs a few min. I am experiencing some slowdown in the time it takes to backup. ![]() I also have an older, less complete full backup on a separate hard drive (not a Time Machine). I have primarily used Time Machine on two external HDD as primary and secondary (weekly/monthly) backups. I don't know how to pretend to be more important. If I try to look in the Music folder in the Finder, it tells me that I don't have the necessary status, even though I'm the only user this computer has ever seen. Curiously it remembers playlists, but not their content. But some time later, when I try to open iTunes after the restoration is complete, nothing appears in the Music section. Away it goes, apparently copying the whole 32 Gb. But how? I do the obvious - call up TM, locate the Music folder in my User group on TM, click Restore. No problem - just get it back from trusty Time Machine. Won't explain why, but I accidentally deleted my whole iTunes library tonight.
